I am Simon van der Niet, ( call me Sam) I am 53 years old and born and raised in Noordwijk in the Netherlands some 30 km from the school. I have a wife and a son who is 14 years old.
Concerning my employment history. I started at 16 years old, joining the Royal Navy and sailed on a submarine for 4 years. After that experience I worked for a company who manufactured radar antennas and dynamic positioning systems. After that I have worked at Lucent Technologies and SWIFT in the areas of Telecom and IT. This will be my first job at a school. I will try to replace Robert - IT support and work together with Mak - AV support. My first impressions are very positive, nice helpful colleagues, and an open working environment.
